HX5 is currently seeking aNetwork and Computer Engineer Senior, to support SCARS effort in the Training Directorate at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have knowledge of computer engineering and software virtualization to support the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and existing computer networks.
Assist in systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.
Must have knowledge of the DoD Defense Information System Network

(DISN) infrastructure as well as dedicated services such as point-to-point connectivity and Internet Protocol-based services and Virtual Private Networks.

Must have Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) Distributed Interactive Simulation and High-Level Architecture standards knowledge to provide assistance in engineering efforts to solve complex technical issues affecting network standards.
Must have a general working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and procedures required to achieve an Authorization to Operate (ATO).

Education andExperience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

Master's degree in a related field with ten (10) years of related experience of which five years must be in the DoD.
OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with twelve (12) years of related experience of which five years must be in the DoD.
OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience of which eight years must be in the DoD.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Must be able to travel, including air travel.
