Job Description

The Marketing, Communications, and Events Coordinator will support Adriel, Inc. in promoting its mission and increasing engagement through a strategic combination of marketing, communications, and event planning. This role plays a critical part in elevating Adriel’s visibility, strengthening brand identity, and fostering relationships with donors and community partners.

With a strong emphasis on communications design and branding, the coordinator ensures all content—from digital and print materials to event promotions and public messaging—is consistent, compelling, and aligned with Adriel’s mission and visual identity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Event Planning and Donor Engagement

  1. Coordinate and execute in-person and virtual fundraising and appreciation events in collaboration with the VP of Development to support Adriel’s programs, families, and foster parents.
  2. Assist with event logistics, promotion, volunteer coordination, donor cultivation, and post-event follow-up, including impact reporting and participant communication.
  3. Support donor recognition and stewardship efforts, including the creation and mailing of personalized thank-you notes and other engagement materials.

Public and Community Relations

  1. Build and maintain relationships with local media, community leaders, churches, and service groups to increase awareness of Adriel’s mission and services.
  2. Serve as a public-facing representative at community events, presentations, and vendor fairs to cultivate a network of advocates and increase Adriel’s visibility across service regions.
  3. Support recruitment and engagement of volunteers by communicating opportunities and ensuring proper follow-up and recognition.

Marketing and Communications

  1. Develop and manage a communications calendar that aligns with Adriel’s annual development plan, promoting awareness, donor campaigns, and key program initiatives.
  2. Create and maintain consistent, mission-driven content across Adriel’s digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others as relevant.
  3. Collaborate with Adriel program staff and families to collect and share compelling stories, photos, testimonials, and outcomes that reflect Adriel’s impact.
  4. Ensure alignment of messaging across all internal and external communications in collaboration with the VP of Development.

Digital Strategy and Campaign Support

  1. Design and execute digital campaigns, including but not limited to Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and email marketing, to increase awareness and drive donor engagement.
  2. Maintain and update the Adriel website to ensure accurate, timely, and visually appealing content that enhances user experience and aligns with Adriel’s branding and SEO standards.
  3. Track and report on analytics, engagement, and performance metrics to inform communications strategy and measure campaign effectiveness.

Design and Brand Management

  1. Design communication materials including flyers, social media graphics, newsletters, signage, and donor pieces in line with Adriel’s visual identity and graphic standards.
  2. Oversee internal workflow for creative requests, ensuring timely production, high quality, and consistency with Adriel’s brand voice.
  3. Review proofs, secure vendor quotes, and coordinate printing and distribution of marketing materials with internal teams and external vendors.
  4. Assist in maintaining Adriel’s branding guidelines and ensuring consistent application across all platforms and communications.

Systems and Support

  1. Utilize and manage the donor database (CRM) to track donor and campaign activity, generate reports, segment audiences, and support fundraising efforts.
  2. Assist the VP of Development with prospect research and preparation of data-driven reports related to donor activity, campaign planning, and communications outcomes.
  3. Provide support for additional development initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of an Associate degree in marketing, business, non-profit management or a related field. Experience preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Proficiency with Google Workspace and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  3. Experience with web editing, SEO, and email marketing platforms.
  4. Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for nonprofit engagement.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionalism and initiative.
  7. Detail-oriented with a creative eye and a commitment to brand consistency.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and represent the organization with integrity.
  9. Comfortable communicating with diverse stakeholders including donors, volunteers, media contacts, and staff.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  11. Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed for events.
  12. Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  13. Passion for the mission and values of a faith-based organization serving children and families in foster care. Sensitivity and respect for cultural and socioeconomic diversity of Adriel’s youth and families.
 

Pay: $37,400.00 – $42,000.00 per year
