Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Educational Advisor, Educational Talent Search, will be responsible for the implementation of Educational Talent Search (ETS) program activities to program participants in grades 6-12. The Educational Advisor will be under the direction of the ETS Assistant Director. The Educational Advisor performs other related job duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description. Some evening and weekend hours will be necessary.
Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills:
● Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required in Education, Counseling, Communications, Social Services or related field from a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
● Minimum of 2 years’ experience in academic advising preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years’ experience of educational and career counseling skills preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years’ experience in coordinating academic activities/programs preferred.
● Background similar to TRIO or similar program with low-income/first-generation students preferred.
● Ability to travel throughout campus and grant/college service area.
