Job Summary:
A high-tech aerospace repair facility is hiring Intermediate-Level Repair & Assembly Technicians to support the repair, assembly, and finishing of gas turbine engine components. This role offers hands-on training and opportunities to grow in an advanced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates bring prior mechanical experience and a desire to build a long-term career in a clean, climate-controlled setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform grinding, drilling, riveting, hand blending, and light machining
Assemble/disassemble engine components using detailed work instructions
Use precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other gauges
Follow OEM specifications, blueprints, and sketches
Communicate with engineers and supervisors to support continuous improvement
Ensure all work meets rigorous quality and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
Experience in mechanical or hands-on trades (e.g., automotive, sheet metal, fabrication, woodworking)
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Basic math skills involving decimals and fractions
Experience with measurement tools like calipers and micrometers
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or trade school equivalent
Knowledge of shop safety and manufacturing practices
Self-directed, motivated, and detail-oriented
Ability to read, speak, and write English
Work Environment:
Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility
May require vision testing and fitness-for-duty screening
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with handling equipment
Safety equipment (glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes) required
