Position Overview:
A full-time opportunity is available for a Wastewater Belt Filter Press Operator to support the dewatering of biosolids at a Wastewater Treatment Facility. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring efficient operation of the sludge dewatering process and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain Belt Filter Press and related sludge handling equipment.
Perform general housekeeping of press building, loading bay, polymer feed areas, restrooms, and equipment zones.
Maintain accurate operational records: daily, weekly, and monthly logs.
Collect and prepare samples for lab analysis to monitor process performance.
Conduct regular inspections of all related equipment and infrastructure.
Identify and resolve process issues and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Must pass a drug screening.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Prior experience with wastewater sludge dewatering and Belt Filter Press operations.
Familiarity with process controls and safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to train others.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
