Job Description
Job Purpose:
Provides services to individuals and families by determining applicant's eligibility.
Duties:
* Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering documents.
* Obtains required information by interviewing applicants, family members, and others; completing application.
* Confirms application by verifying information.
* Determines eligibility by applying regulations and memorandums.
* Obtains approval of application by submitting determination for review.
* Educates applicants/clients by explaining program requirements, options, interpretations, and determination.
* Obtains assistance for applicants/clients by referring them to other programs.
* Verifies client's continued eligibility by reviewing and verifying updated information in client's file.
* Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; participating in quality reviews; reporting needed changes.
* Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and tolerance levels; enforcing adherence to requirements; informing management of needed actions.
* Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
