Job Description
Job Purpose:
To provide employment services to customers through the OhioMeansJobs division of Clark County Department of Job & Family Services. This position is also responsible for case management of Workforce Investment Act participants.
Duties:
* Interviews customers determine their initial eligibility for one or more agency programs or services, counsels job applicants regarding vocational options. Evaluates customers for potential training under the Workforce Investment Act or other applicable programs. Refers customers to training or other employment programs. Promotes employment services; develops possible job leads for applicants; and provides data (e.g. labor market information) to customers.
* Maintains communication with ongoing customers to determine their continued eligibility under WIA, and/or assesses ongoing clients’ employment situation and seeks to resolve any barriers to employment these customers may be experiencing.
* Conducts workshops, orientations and other group interactions to diverse populations in order to provide necessary information or skills to improve the success
* Performs miscellaneous tasks associated with the duties of the OhioMeansJobs division (e.g., files; scans records, answers telephones).
