Job Description

Directions, an Integrated Intelligence Company, is seeking a driven Sr. Account Executive to join our healthcare team. This is a client-facing role focused on building and expanding relationships with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. You'll leverage your consultative sales skills and insights expertise deliver integrated solutions-spanning primary research, business intelligence, and strategic consulting-that drive real business outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Cultivate and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior client contacts to drive retention, growth, and new business opportunities.
  • Lead the development of proposals and solutions that address clients' most critical business objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients and internal teams, ensuring high-quality, actionable deliverables and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the delivery of integrated intelligence projects (including design, analysis, reporting, and activation), proactively addressing client needs throughout each engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that inform strategic decisions and create measurable impact.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of professional experience, with significant experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical insights (e.g., Diabetes, Oncology, Biotech, Cardiovascular, Dermatology, Neuroscience, Infectious disease, etc.).
  • Proven ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies and recommendations.
  • Track record of leading engagements that drive client business outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong business acumen and experience integrating multiple data sources (primary, secondary, forecasting) to address clients' business questions.
  • Expertise in designing and executing quantitative and qualitative primary research, designed and aligned to business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proactive business development mindset and a strong network of prospective clients.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagement and growth (travel requirements vary by client/location).
  • Success in this role requires building and maintaining strong client relationships, which may involve in-person meetings and travel. While travel needs will vary based on client mix and location, candidates should expect and be willing to travel as needed to support client engagement and growth.

This position can be located anywhere in the U.S., and compensation is commensurate with experience.
