Job Summary

The Community Relations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the work of the Nordson Corporation Foundation and Nordson's employee engagement programs. Responsibilities include supporting employee giving and volunteer programs, assisting in supporting the Foundation and Impact team operations, collecting grantee impact and outcome measurement, and coordinating the Impact Team's communication strategy.

Essential Job Duties and Functions

* Support employee giving and volunteer programs, maintaining relationships with community organizations and creating connectivity with sites and employees
* Assist in supporting Nordson Corporation Foundation and Impact Team operations, including as a grantee liaison and in maintaining timely and clear standard operating procedures
* Collect grantee impact and outcome measurement to optimize alignment and impact against priorities
* Coordinate Impact Team's communication strategy in partnership with corporate communications team to promote visibility and engagement for Nordson Impact programs

Education and Experience Requirements

* Bachelor's degree required
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in corporate social responsibility or nonprofit environment.

Skills and Abilities

* Preference for candidate with experience using corporate social responsibility software (ex: Benevity, YourCause)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
* Advanced Microsoft Office and Web based skills
* Highly organized professional with the ability to manage numerous projects
* Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
* Ability to communicate decisions tactfully
* Ability to delegate
* Presents a pleasant and professional demeanor
* Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, take initiative, solve problems, and meet deadlines
