Overview




Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing coverage on all processes within the warehouse. This will include shipping, receiving, inspection and technical inspection functions in all departments.


Responsibilities




Shipping and Receiving

Complete and maintain daily forklift inspections and records
Load/unload freight and FedEx/UPS packages while recording information into warehouse systems
Unpack, count and verify auto parts and other products to ensure quantities and part numbers match supplier pack lists
Receive auto parts and general purchase items into SAP
Load/unload prototype vehicle models (interior/exterior, quarter scale, clay models) including strapping/unstrapping vehicles from trucks
Some driving of vehicles is required when transporting vehicles or parts to other buildings on campus

Inspection

Ability to use calipers, digital gauges, Dyno light and other measurement tools
Ability to accurately document quality issues using client provided reporting formats. (Inspection data, photos, pass/fail
Investigate damaged parts and determine root cause of damage (e.g., shipping, damaged in house, etc.)
Verifying inspection data and information across multiple systems


Qualifications




High School Diploma or equivalent required
1 year of experience working with SAP application is preferred, but not required
1 year of experience working in a shipping/receiving environment
1 year of experience working in an automotive parts or similar warehouse type environment
1 year of parts inspection and measurement preferred
Considerable knowledge of SAP applications and forklift operation

Physical Demands

Physical activity required includes frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and standing. Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs.Mental qualifications include counting, verifying information and learning how to use specialized tools.
