Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions, located in Brooklyn, OH, is on the lookout for a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Continuous Improvement to become a valuable member of our team.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.


Provide technical support for the production manufacturing equipment
Monitor automated equipment throughout production run to ensure operation is within specified process parameters
Read schematics, electrical drawings, or engineering instructions to assist installation, troubleshooting, and repair of process equipment
Work on assigned machinery, rebuilding projects as necessary.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements including electrical safety, machine guarding, and lockout tag out procedures
Recommend, purchase, and install equipment and/or supplies
Supervise contractors, as required
Follow and (support) company policies/procedures
Participate in project teams, as required
Participate in root cause problem solving/continuous improvement tasks
Facilitate DPP projects/Kaizens/Kaizen-Blitzs
Secure and challenge current state through the PDCA mindset
Facilitate best practice sharing in the regions
Support factories in designing, selecting and implementation of automation solutions

Required (basic) qualifications


High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing related field is preferred
3-5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering or related technical position
Experience with robotic systems, programmable logic controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
PLC Programming
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office
Able to function well in a team or group environment
Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
Welding, Fabrication, and strong use of hand tools
Lean Six-Sigma (Green Belt or better)
