Job Description

Primary Purpose:
Leads daily operations of the department and ensures all processes are conducted in accordance with current procedures. Ensures we honor The Gift by maximizing opportunities to produce quality grafts.
Essential Functions:

Leads, promotes and drives the safety culture and preventative activities for employees.
Accountable for the quality of the product, paperwork, process and service throughout the production of tissue grafts.
Promote leadership throughout all functions of the organization by engaging in employees and building a team environment.
Build collaborative interdepartmental relationships for the maintenance and execution of project plans for new and existing grafts.
Practices decision-making methods based on data analysis to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, motivating, orientation, supervision, evaluation, development and counseling of employees.
Manage strategic corporate goals and initiatives to develop staff, monitor budgets.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree.
5 years of leadership experience in Tissue Banking, Healthcare or related field.

Work Environment and Physical Activities:

Must work on-call as needed.
Some areas of manufacturing may require the ability to work around high magnetic circuits or magnetic fields.

Desired Qualifications:

Master's Degree preferred.
Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) certification.
Manufacturing, tissue processing or medical device experience.
Experience analyzing processes and continuous process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others to high performance.
Demonstrated ability to lead major projects, continuous improvement and team building.
Demonstrated ability to understand complex processes and communicate critical functions clearly through written and verbal communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of anatomy, sterile technique, medical terminology and of allograft tissue operations.
