Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings and facilities, physical plant, and grounds including preventative maintenance. Responds to emerging maintenance needs and conducts daily monitoring to ensure facility needs are met and maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Develop and maintain a functional understanding of all essential building systems to assure systems are operating correctly and efficiently. Systems include, but are not limited to, electrical, mechanical, security, fire suppression, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning (HVAC).
Conduct safety and building inspections including system testing of fire and panic systems.
Complete minor repairs and maintenance including touch up painting; repairs to permanent and temporary walls, molding, and ceilings; inside and outside bulb replacement; plumbing system repairs including sinks, floor drains, toilets, and outside spigots; and minor concrete repairs.
Responsible for periodic (scheduled) assessments and inspections as outlined to ensure frequency of contracted service is sufficient for effective operations including contracting, monitoring, and inspecting work performed by sub-contractors completing janitorial services, carpet and window cleaning, roofing, fire extinguishers, snow plowing and salting, landscaping, pond maintenance, heating and cooling (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, parking lot resurfacing or repair, pest and rodent control, fuel tanks, sprinkler systems, and special facilities projects (ie. fence construction, exterior painting).
Daily travel between various office locations using company vehicle, either a van or truck requiring a standard driver's license
