Job Description

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Software Engineer position. The Senior Software Engineer will provide technical support to various programs for the DoD and Intelligence Community. This position requires a talented Software Engineer that can work with multi-disciplined teams across sectors to perform software engineering to support all phases of the system lifecycle, including requirements development, design, development, and test and evaluation. The Senior Software Engineer will be required to assist with software development and integration, Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A); Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations; test and evaluation; tool development, and operations. This position will also support capture and proposal development.

 

Required Skills:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineerinng, or relevant technical field with 10 years direct experience on DoD programs or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field with 8 years direct experience on DoD programs.
  • US Citizen with a current DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

 

Required Experience:  

  • Software development experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: Object-Oriented Programming, Embedded Systems, FPGA Development, Cloud Software Development, MS&A, and HWIL simulations. 
  • Direct experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and STK.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile software development principles and practices.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, and/or Python.
  • Experience with Windows operating system.
  • Experience with DoD and Intelligence community
  • Experience creating and managing design and development documentation.

 

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Experience with Linux operating system.
  • Experience with DevOps
  • Experience with MBSE and MS&A integration.
  • Experience in Space, Missile, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
  • Experience with satellite and ground system processing design and development programs
  • Experience leading and writing proposals
