Job Description
This is a full-time, classified, non-exempt position in the Clark County Reentry Department. The Reentry Specialist will have significant responsibility assisting participants with navigating community resources and services as they reestablish their lives in communities across the state. The incumbent will provide guidance and support to justice-impacted citizens returning to Clark County after incarceration and/or experiencing barriers after being released. Minimum Qualifications:
•Associates degree and/or education or training equivalent to experience.
•Basic computer skills
•Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
•Ability to work some evenings and weekends
•Regular and reliable attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Social Sciences, Human Services, Criminal Justice,Psychology or related field
•Certified peer support specialist
•Knowledge and/or experience of jail/prison environment and knowledge of the criminal justice system.
