Distribution Sales Account Manager

About the Job

This position is responsible for supporting SW PCG IW Distribution Brands (M.L.Campbell; Sayerlack) sales, profit and marketing efforts in Portland OR, Spokane WA, and Boise ID. This position involves sales through a distribution network consisting of but not limited to Wholesale Plywood Distributors, Building Material Distributors, and Industrial Coatings Distributors. These customers will sell and service cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, architectural millwork or other manufacturers of wood furnishings. The ability to communicate to both the distributor network and the end user customer base is vital to long-term success. This position will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of business plans to expand and develop new business opportunities and will utilize CRM for sales planning. Strong sales, time-management, training, technical knowledge, administrative duties, interpersonal and relationship developing skills are required.

Additional responsibilities of the Account Manager include the following:

Responsible for managing the SW PCG IW Distribution Brands sales, profit and marketing effort and surpassing sales goals by effectively implementing key divisional and brand strategies

Responsible for maintaining and building relationships with distributors and working closely with these distributors to ensure continued growth in partnership.

Responsible for developing and implementing training programs.

Required to understand and demonstrate product application, including troubleshooting, application equipment set up and application technique

Required to develop, implement, and work within a developed business plan

P&L responsibility

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. FORMAL EDUCATION: (GENERALLY, IF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE, THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE EDUCATION REQUIRED)

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Business
5 - 8 years of relevant experience is acceptable given to significant work experience in absence of a degree.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

3-5 years of sales and management experience

Preferred:

5-8 years of sales and management experience
Paint or wood finish experience along with spray application of finish is highly preferred.
Experience interacting with senior management / business owners is strongly preferred.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

Ability to use and understand Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Public speaking required with groups ranging from 10-200
Ability to work all scheduled hours as needed
Employee must have a valid driver's license.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Must have or qualify for a valid passport and be able to travel outside of the country, primarily to Canada.
