Job Title:
Endpoint Automation Engineer

Reporting To:
Manager, End User Computing

Work Schedule:
Fully Remote or Hybrid if Local - Buffalo, NY

Moog's Corporate Group is seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer with a passion for improving the user experience during endpoint device refresh cycles and identifying opportunities to streamline IT processes. In this role, you will leverage scripting and development skills-primarily in PowerShell, Python, and C#-to automate device lifecycle workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance the quality, speed, and reliability of endpoint deployments and transitions.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a solid understanding of endpoint management, and a user-first mindset to optimize and personalize the "refresh" experience.

To be considered for the Endpoint Automation Engineer role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

Over five (5) years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or software development in an IT environment.

Proficiency in PowerShell, Python and C#.

Experience automating tasks related to Windows endpoints, device provisioning, or operating system deployments.

Familiarity with endpoint management platforms (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Autopilot).

Ability to understand user workflows and translate them into efficient automation solutions.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party tools.

US Citizenship Required

*While this opportunity provides a remote work schedule, the selected incumbent must be located in the U.S., and be able to travel to Buffalo, NY at least once per quarter, or more as business needs require. A work location near a U.S. Moog facility is ideal.

As an Endpoint Automation Engineer, you will:

Design and develop automation tools to simplify and enhance the device refresh process, reducing IT touchpoints and minimizing user disruption.

Build and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, and C# to automate tasks related to device setup, data migration, configuration, application deployment, and user customization.

Partner with Endpoint Engineering, IT Operations, and Service Desk teams to identify friction points and develop automation solutions that improve consistency and user satisfaction.

Create intelligent logging, alerting, and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and supportability of automation workflows.

Continuously monitor and refine automation to accommodate OS, hardware, and application changes over time.

Drive innovation by identifying repetitive manual processes across the endpoint lifecycle and transforming them into scalable, automated solutions.

Develop and maintain thorough documentation, including code comments, wikis, and runbooks.
