About the Job

This role supports Quality-related activities within Channel Operations across North America, in alignment with Vertiv's standard processes and methodologies.

The primary focus is to identify, document, and assist in resolving non-conformances throughout warehouse operations. The position acts as a key liaison between the operations team, shipping and receiving departments, and the quality organization to ensure adherence to Vertiv's documented quality standards and to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities extend to ensuring the quality of manufactured and purchased products, as well as services provided to Vertiv customers. This role also serves as a customer advocate, promoting operational excellence in product quality, reliability, systems, processes, metrics, and issue resolution.

1. Charging Compliance

* Monitor and audit inbound and outbound shipments of UPS products to ensure batteries comply with charging specifications.

* Conduct internal audits of charging operations and support the resolution of any identified issues.

* Inspect UPS/battery inventory regularly to ensure adherence to charging requirements.

* Perform basic troubleshooting of charging processes when necessary.

2. Inventory Audits

* Conduct routine walkthroughs of receiving, shipping, and storage areas to identify product or process non-conformances.

* Document and escalate non-compliant conditions such as improper storage, packaging errors, and charging violations.

* Verify adherence to proper material handling, labeling, and packaging procedures.

3. Non-Conformance Reporting

* Maintain and update Quality Assurance logs to track all non-compliance incidents.

* Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing audit results and identifying trends.

* Collaborate with leadership to drive corrective actions and implement process improvements.

4. Operational Support

* Ensure incoming materials meet quality standards, including checks for damage, correct labeling, and proper documentation.

* Perform sample audits of outbound shipments to confirm they meet customer expectations.

* Conduct regular inspections to ensure products are manufactured in compliance with design specifications.

* Monitor and support the resolution of customer complaints.

* Contribute to monthly quality reporting and metrics tracking.

5. General and Compliance Responsibilities

* Foster effective communication across operations and management teams.

* Execute additional tasks, projects, and special assignments as directed by management.

* Adhere to regional quality management system procedures and standards.

* Comply with Vertiv's local and international trade compliance policies and operational practices.

* Follow all health, safety, and environmental protection rules as outlined in internal procedures and training.

* Apply Vertiv Operating System (VOS) principles in daily operations.

* Take necessary steps to prevent and respond to emergency situations in accordance with operational control rules.

* Promptly report all accidents, occupational illnesses, and emergency incidents.
