Job Summary

The Construction Layout tech provides construction layout data and machine control models to maintain high field production levels by coordinating plan design data and schedules with field operations. Ourideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Collect geographic data using survey grade equipment
Create, update, and manage 3D models utilizing Topcon Magnet
Work with Paving and Construction crews to confirm accuracy of placed material.
Operate and maintain GPS equipment
Prepare Cut and Fill reports using Magnet Office
Conduct data quality control and assurance checks
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and supervision staff to complete projects on time

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in construction layout or surveying, with a strong understanding of GPS technology.
Proficient in the use of surveying instruments, GPS equipment, and related software.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license; ability to travel to various job sites as required.
