Job Summary:
A local government office is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Night Shift Custodian to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of county buildings during evening hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and minor maintenance tasks and may be required to serve in a night security role or travel between county facilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and assist in the maintenance of assigned facilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, polish, and buff floors

• Vacuum carpets and sanitize restrooms and common areas

• Dust furniture, equipment, and fixtures

• Empty trash and recycling containers

• Replenish supplies in restrooms and cleaning closets

• May serve as night security and perform building lock-up procedures

• May drive to multiple county facilities during shift

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment

• Ability to read, follow, and explain written and oral instructions

• Ability to perform a variety of manual cleaning tasks

• Valid driver’s license required

• Must be able to work independently and responsibly during night hours
