Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Leads direct supervision and coordination of the 2nd Shift personnel across operations including Production and Warehouse. Responsible for the onboarding and training of operations personnel and resolution and/or escalation of associate concerns and performance issues.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Delegates and assigns work duties.
- Coordinates departmental activities with other FNGP personnel, cells, and support functions, internal and external to this facility.
- Identifies and/or initiates appropriate action to prevent the occurrence or any nonconformity relating to product, process, and quality system either directly or by recommendation through designated channels.
- Controls further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Support the training and maintain the training matrix within their assigned zone and reporting job classes.
- Engages and develops team for continuous improvement.
- Identifies and addresses safety concerns.
- Leads by example and enables a positive workplace.
- Reports work results, concerns, and improvement ideas up the organization.
- Assign job responsibilities and evaluate for completion.

Job Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills required to successfully lead a large team.
- Previous experience in leading people.
- Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office Excel, and Word.
- Experience with ERP or EMS operations systems required: specific knowledge of SAP and Bartender software a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and train employees.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment that may frequent the plant distribution area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend as necessary. Travel and work outside of normal hours may be required for meetings, presentations, trainings, and other events.

This role directly supervises the 2nd shift operators and material technicians.
