POSITION SUMMARY:

A Team Lead guides and mentors all production associate levels in their assigned areas. They must have professional communication skills, allowing them to facilitate production meetings and assist the Production Supervisor with employee relations issues. They are responsible for ensuring their assigned product lines meet the minimum efficiency requirements while maintaining quality requirements. Oversee new hire technical and production line training ensuring all training documentation meets compliance requirements. Additional duties include line auditing, working with engineering on lean manufacturing/improvement projects and other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:


Coordinate the activities of Production Associates on their product line(s)
Ensure team's compliance to regulatory requirements through Gemba walks and regular auditing.
Monitor production output to assure that daily production goals are met
Monitor the quality of output at each workstation
Identify material shortages or issues that may disrupt production activities
Monitor production material scrap and report on defect trends
Communicate product and production issues to management or other appropriate individuals
Communicate packaging and labeling issues to management or other appropriate individuals
Monitoring production associate productivity utilizing time matrix.
Facilitate Tier 1 and Tier 2 Meetings
Communicate work hours, including any required overtime
Maintain records as required by the Quality System
Audit, coach, and train on Device History Records to ensure completeness and accuracy
Partner with production supervisor, Production manager and/ or HR on employee relations.
Ensure team manufactures quality product while maintaining line output and productivity requirements
Ensures team packs and labels quality product while maintaining line output and productivity requirements
Responsible for effective training of associates and completeness of training records
Partner with engineering to identify root cause and corrective actions for line issues.
Ensures Team members are accurately documenting time to appropriate manufacturing orders by reviewing and correcting as required in Time Matrix
Conducts technical onboarding with newly hired production associates and provides feedback to Supervisor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


High School Diploma or equivalent
Completed the AtriCure Trainer Certification
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent in professional verbal and written communication
Effective organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards
Ability to Problem solve and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
Able to read and understand work instructions written in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Level 3 Production Associate
Leadership experience
Six Sigma Yellow belt certified

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift over 50 pounds
Able to complete Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification within 1 year of hire
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
