About the Program
The University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) is seeking a qualified and passionate individual to lead our Women’s Softball Program as Head Coach. UNOH is a proud member of the NAIA and competes in the highly competitive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). We are committed to developing a championship-caliber program with a focus on student-athlete success both on and off the field.
Job Summary / Essential Functions:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach is responsible for the overall administration and success of the Women’s Softball Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes
- Supporting student-athlete academic and personal development
- Developing and implementing training programs and practice sessions
- Planning game strategy and leading team during competition
- Managing program budget and team operations
- Organizing team travel, game scheduling, and scouting
- Hiring and supervising assistant coaches
- Ensuring compliance with all UNOH, WHAC, and NAIA rules and regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Collegiate softball coaching experience
- Proven success in recruiting and retaining student-athletes
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a collegiate head softball coach
- Demonstrated success in competitive play and program leadership
