Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry (TCE):
The Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry (TCE) prepares future and current teachers who design and implement culturally and contextually relevant curriculum and pedagogy. Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education, or a related field by date of appointment, and at least two years of full-time teaching experience in pk-8 schools.
Consideration may be given to candidates with experience in teaching primary education (pk-5), with experience or ability to translate instruction for grades 6-8. Specialization in math or social studies is also considered, with the ability for the candidate to engage with interdisciplinary approaches to teaching. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) experience may also be considered.
