Multi-Trade Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Position Summary
The Multi-Trade Maintenance Supervisor will lead, coordinate, and support second-shift maintenance operations. This role is responsible for supervising technicians, assigning work, ensuring timely and effective equipment repairs, and maintaining a focus on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement. The supervisor should bring a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, while also possessing the leadership skills to guide a team and support plant-wide objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and direct second-shift maintenance technicians.
- Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance goals.
- Delegate tasks effectively and manage team and individual performance.
- Identify skill gaps and implement training to strengthen team capabilities.
- Work Coordination & Planning
- Assign daily work orders and prioritize maintenance requests.
- Coordinate closely with production to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time.
- Assist with project planning, allocating resources, and tracking progress.
- Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting
- Independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform equipment installation, repair, and upgrades as required.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, meters, and plant-specific diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate recommendations.
- Support initiatives that increase reliability, safety, and efficiency.
- Contribute to facility-wide improvement projects.

- Technical Knowledge
- Electrical: High-voltage equipment, AC/DC motor controls, VFDs, low-voltage control systems, I/O modules, relays, contacts, coils, timers.
- Mechanical: Machinery repair, mechanical drives, pumps, fans, industrial utility equipment (e.g., compressors).
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic: Troubleshooting and repair of fluid-powered systems, solenoids, valves, and cylinders.
- Equipment Proficiency: Comfortable operating and maintaining a variety of industrial tools, instruments, and automation systems.
- Computer & Software
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and automation software.
