Job Description

Lead the research and development of future products and aid in the development of associates by assigning challenging assignments and providing ongoing performance feedback in areas of previous knowledge. Coordinate weekly plans on development, research, and testing activities. Identify, investigate, and implement innovative methods in alignment with unit strategy using company problem-solving methods and drive the creation/updating of standard practices, processes, and procedures to increase the group’s business effectiveness. Manage budget and resources needed for group activities. Establish business culture for on-going sustainability. Supervise and assist 4-10 associates in completing assigned activities in automotive development and mobility related research.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Aerodynamic, Biomedical, Environmental, or Mechanical); 8 years of relevant professional experience; 8 years of automotive development experience; 8 years of experience developing test plans and procedures in the automotive or related field; 8 years of experience communicating complex technical information to support, management, and stake holders; 8 years of experience with On-Road and Wind Tunnel Full vehicle testing validating vehicle performance in full CBU testing conditions; 8 years of experience with component testing, including establishing testing methods, carrying out testing activities, and summarizing results to make engineering decisions; 8 years of experience with Data Acquisition Software, including taking data utilizing dedicated hardware and software for displacement, velocity, and force (labview); 4 years of experience with CFD/FEA Analysis, including performing simulations to estimate real world performance in automotive applications; 4 years of experience with environment chamber testing, including confirming full vehicle and component performance at various temperature conditions; and 2 years of experience with leading small teams (4+ people), assigning tasks and monitoring completion.
