Responsible for accurate and timely test conduct and reporting in a full-vehicle HILS environment. This includes verification of prototype software and support of customer testing. To achieve that goal, the role also includes the preparation, modification, and maintenance of the HILS simulator and software environment. Prepare the HILS environment precisely to correctly represent desired test conditions. Prepare and modify test automation to meet testing requirements. Perform HILS-based testing in accurately controlled simulation setting using established practices. Accurately report test results and conditions so that correct system judgments may be made. Document test conduct and results, problems and resolutions and results of investigations in an established database. Report concern items to supervisor/technical expert and participates in resolution and reporting (vehicle level). Collect, implement, and maintain prototype control software and physical system models. Collect specifications, implement, and maintain CAN network within HILS environment. Assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot HILS HW.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Mechatronics); 2 years of relevant professional experience; 2 years of working knowledge of embedded control (real-time), simulators and software is required - acceptable platforms are dSPACE, National Instruments, Vector, and/or OEM Proprietary Tools; 2 years of working knowledge of electrical and signal measurement tools and software; 2 years of working knowledge of vehicle systems and networks; 2 years of working knowledge of system modeling using CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and analysis; 1 year of experience with strong Matlab/Simulink skill in the control field; and 1 year of experience with Python, Matlab programming skills.
