REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 12/01/2025-05/01/2026. Must agree to work Mon-Fri, 12 hours per day, Sat, 12 hours. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Workers are needed from December until May to use skid steers to scrape manure and mud from concrete cattle areas to include barns, feedlots, and alleyways to maintain hygiene, cattle health, and efficient operations. Workers will maintain areas to be clean, dry and add salt to ensure non-slip surfaces to reduce injury and improve overall cattle welfare during times of freezing, muddy conditions. Workers will keep manure flush system in barns free from frozen buildup around drop holes, check heating elements and replace as needed though out buildings and water troughs, check and rake sand beds to ensure they are not freezing, plow snow and maintain gravel roads. Once the ground thaws and risk of snow and freezing conditions have passed, robotic scrapers are then utilized until the next winter season, worker will maintain and repair these to ensure proper operation prior to use. Workers are required to work 6 days a week and may be requested to work 7 days a week, workers will alternate days off so that at least one person is working this position daily.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
