We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various eye conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Diagnose and treat visual disorders, including prescribing corrective lenses.
- Provide pediatric eye care services, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the management of ocular health.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry, ophthalmology, and optical technologies.
- Assist in sales of eyewear products and provide excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and physiology.
- Experience with pediatric patients is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with optical equipment and ophthalmology practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to manage medical records efficiently and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
