Design vehicles’ electrical and electronics infrastructure, integrate and package the wiring requirements from all divisions, and package internally responsible components such as battery and various ECUs. Understand related systems/function sets and expected to oversee application of EA1s responsible parts and the overall harness system to a full model development project. Responsible for circuit systems & Layout Integration and Correlation. Confirm technical specifications of the each circuit are achieved. Ensure accurate cost calculation of wire harness assemblies. Create three-dimensional designs and two-dimensional layouts of automotive electrical wire harnesses from initial concept through mass production, including vehicle electrical systems and operations. Design brackets, both plastic and metal. Support assembly factory throughout the development. Achieve all technical maturation targets for all parts, from prototype to mass production. Responsible for two-dimensional schematic drawings and effectively manage parts, new components, and supplier quality.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field; 3 years of relevant professional experience; 3 years of experience with Microsoft tools; 3 years of experience with CAD; 3 years of experience with engineering drawing; 3 years of experience with Application of Engineering Concepts and Terminology relating to Static and Dynamic Design, Circuit Analysis, Electric Devices; 3 years of detailed knowledge and capability in using CATIA V5 Modeling tool; 3 years of experience implementing Wire Harness designs using CATIA Wire Harness Work Bench; 3 years of experience navigating Commercial software to support creation of 2D Wire Harness drawings; 3 years of experience understanding and negotiation of Cost and Buy-up Tooling Investment used for supplier correlation; 3 years of experience understanding and supporting the quality check process at each team gate; 3 years of experience understanding of factory limitations for creating a feasible design; and 3 years of experience understanding of supplier manufacturing limitations for creating a feasible design.
