Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity standards are met. This position plays a key role in coordinating workflow, supporting team members, and maintaining a positive and safe work environment within the plant. The Production Supervisor leads by example, ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed while meeting customer and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet department goals and delivery schedules.
Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity; provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
Conduct daily start-up meetings to communicate production goals, staffing assignments, and process updates.
Partner with maintenance and other departments to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production reports, including tracking output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Train, develop, and motivate production staff to achieve individual and team objectives.
Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for daily production.
Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead by example to foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work culture.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of supervisory experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of production metrics, process improvement, and quality control.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, production systems).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
Regular exposure to hot or humid environments typical of industrial laundry operations.
