Responsibilities
We are looking for a Manager, Engineering Processes & Systems to join our team! In this role, you will lead two high-impact areas within the Project Resource Center of ADS: the Design Studio (responsible for ADS’s web-based self-service design tools) and AutoCAD Design Processes (supporting over 70 designs per day through standardized CAD workflows). You will manage the Engineering Systems Analyst team, driving continuous improvement, customer experience, and strategic alignment of engineering tools. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Engineering Systems Analyst team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
- Manage staffing levels and facilitate employee training and progression.
- Own the day-to-day operations of the Design Studio and CAD template teams.
- Drive KPIs for self-service tools and CAD efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales & Product Management to understand regional goals and align tool capabilities.
- Partner with IT and third-party vendors to deliver scalable, customer-facing design solutions.
- Monitor and analyze emerging trends and technologies in civil design and stormwater management.
- Apply Lean and Agile methodologies to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, vision, and priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Build business cases and ROI models to support investment decisions.
- Use analytics to measure adoption, productivity gains, and customer impact.
- Promote a transparent and positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business, or IT-related fields (preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of management or leadership experience.
- Field Sales or Engineering experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with ADS-specific products and applications.
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks on cross-functional product teams.
- Project management experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of civil engineering workflows, drainage/site design fundamentals, and related Autodesk and stormwater management tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD).
- Experience managing or improving web-based platforms with CAD automation.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
- Skilled in Agile principles and Lean process improvement.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix organization (e.g., Sales, Marketing, IT, HR, Accounting).
- Strategic thinker with experience in product management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to lead multiple product owners and analysts across a portfolio.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advocate for the Voice of the Customer in tool development and support.
