Job Description

Position Purpose:

Support Manufacturing Engineer with project responsibilities. Design, create drawings, and build production/prototype tooling. This will include maintenance responsibilities for repairing and rebuilding equipment.

Essential Functions:

1. Assemble automated equipment, manual fixtures, and tooling.

2. Responsible for repairing equipment and facilities in the Canton CBU facility.

3. Create and build components from hand sketches, prints, or verbal instruction.

4. Assist in the daily troubleshooting of robotic or tooling problems.

5. Build, install, and debug electrical panels, enclosures, and equipment.

6. Responsible for operations and skills outside of established procedures.

7. Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, or operation sequences can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.

8. Develop process documentation and systems to maintain equipment and facilities.

9. Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.

10. Assist maintenance with plant/building operational upkeep.

Education and Training

* Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience; associates degree in related field is highly desirable.

* Experience and demonstration of capability in Hendrickson manufacturing operation can offset degree preference.

Minimum Qualifications

* Excellent demonstrated mechanical ability required.

* Ability to read and create blueprints.

* Robotic and/or PLC programming experience preferred.

* Electrical maintenance background preferred.

Physical Demands

* Sitting for long periods of time.

* Standing for long periods of time.

* Lifting 30 pounds.

* Office environment.

* Manufacturing environment.
