REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 12/01/2025-5/30/2026. Must agree to work Monday 8 hours, Tues-Thurs, 6 hours per day, Friday 9 hours per day. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 1 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 40 lbs., Driver requirements, and extensive walking.

 JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Feed and water sheep and lambs and monitor food and water supplies. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Maintain heated watering system. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Maintain growth, feeding, production, and cost records. Groom, clip, trim, or castrate dock ears and tails, or shear coats to collect hair. Operate snow removal equipment in order to operate feed wagons. Remove ice formed in water. May have to drive to town to pickup supplies. Effective 02/21/2025 per Michigan State Statute, employees will earn one hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked. Businesses with 10 or more employees must allow at least 72 hours of paid sick leave and those with fewer than 10 employees must allow at least 40 hours of paid sick leave and 32 hours of unpaid sick leave.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCEProvided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
