Position: Wastewater Plant Maintenance

Pay Range: $20.50 – $30.48 per hour

Position Summary
The Wastewater Plant Maintenance position involves performing a variety of duties related to the maintenance of buildings, pump stations, and process equipment at local wastewater treatment facilities. The role supports safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in corrective maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at treatment facilities and lift stations.
Perform lift station maintenance including inspection, cleaning, debris removal, and equipment repair.
Participate in on-the-job training related to treatment processes, plant operations, and maintenance procedures.
Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on all process equipment, machinery, and structures to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and safe driving record required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
One (1) year of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or electrical work preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with team members, public officials, contractors, and the public.
Willingness to perform physical labor in varying outdoor conditions.
Availability for overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible or rotating shifts as required.
