Pay Rate: $19.42 - $19.87 Hourly

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician completes FSQA tests on raw material, in process product, and finished product to assure product safety and quality in compliance with SQF.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
* Complete quality checks to meet all quality parameters by product type as required
* Complete food safety checks to meet all critical control points.
* Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.
* Employee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP's related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
* Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities.
* Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:



Good oral communications skills required.
Previous experience in a Food Quality Role
Solid computer skills and the ability to accurately enter data with excellent attention to detail.
Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment.
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to interact well with co-workers.
Ability to understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.
Must be flexible with the ability to work any shift as workload demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to work in a cold environment (34-35 degrees on Plant floor).

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:


Must be flexible with the ability to work any shift as workload demands.
4-10 hour Shifts:

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:


High School Diploma or GED is required.

PAY RATE:


$19.42 - $19.87 Hourly
