Job Description

As a Senior Sales Manager you will drive strategic growth by leading the sales strategy for our full cycle electrical solutions. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, this senior leadership role is accountable for expanding existing client relationships, aggressively pursuing new business opportunities, and forging high-value partnerships. As a key member of the U.S. commercial leadership team, you will spearhead sales and marketing initiatives to achieve significant business growth across the region. We are seeking a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record of strategic vision, innovative thinking, and exceptional deal-closing skills to propel organizational success.

Strategic New Client Sales

Partner with Operations Leadership and senior management to define high-priority target markets,services, and client segments for new business development.
Conduct advanced market analysis to evaluate customer profitability, strategic fit, and long-term partnership
Drive proactive, high-impact sales development strategies to secure new clients and partnerships.
Lead and direct sales calls, leveraging the technical expertise of Operational Leaders to position thecompany as an industry leader.
Oversee the coordination, preparation, and delivery of complex proposals and quotes, negotiating high-stakes contracts and closing significant deals with support from Operational Managers, Project Managers, and technical experts.
Foster cross-regional collaboration with other senior sales leaders to identify and capitalize on opportunities in adjacent markets.
Maintain a deep understanding of the company's cutting-edge technology and solutions, continuously enhancing expertise to strengthen client engagements

Key Account Leadership

Lead account management for a portfolio of high-value, strategic key accounts, setting the standard for relationship management across the organization.
Develop and execute comprehensive Key Account Management plans to drive revenue growth and client retention.
Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with senior personnel at key client organizations, ensuring long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Align sales strategies with regional and organizational leadership to ensure cohesive and effective execution.
Oversee customer satisfaction initiatives, including follow-up calls, client satisfaction surveys, and professional gap analyses, working closely with Operations and Project Managers to resolve issues and enhance client experiences.

Strategic Marketing Leadership

Direct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic sales initiatives.
Provide strategic input to Operations and Senior Management on market development strategies and capability enhancements to address current and future market demands.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to oversee the creation and execution of high-impact sales materials, campaigns, exhibits, and promotional programs.
Represent the company at high-profile industry events, conferences, and trade shows, driving brand visibility and thought leadership.

Strategic and Tactical Planning

Play a pivotal role in shaping regional budget planning, forecasting, and goal setting, aligning sales objectives with broader organizational strategies.
Lead strategic account planning sessions to retain and grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to achieve aggressive revenue targets and market share growth.
Mentor and guide junior sales team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the sales organization.

7+ years of Sales or Industry Experience
Experience with electrical power systems and/or technical and engineering services
Strong background with the acquisition, retention, and re-engagement of customers.
Experience in development of sales tools, territory and pipeline management.
Strong knowledge of sales systems and tracking and utilization of sales related data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective time management, organization and decision-making skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment.
Experience with CRM and Estimation/Quoting platforms as well as other Microsoft Office applications

Self-motivated

Ability to travel at least 50% of the time (throughout Eastern region / Nationally, if required).
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and reference check.
Have a current valid driver's license and able to maintain a good driving record.
