Job Description
              Production Manager wanted in Bowling Green, Ohio to manage the production department through supervising the activities of assigned personnel, and ensuring successful completion of all awarded tool programs, engineering changes and engineering projects; Manage all activities and personnel reporting to this position; Oversee and direct production associates in safe, quality-minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduled; Determine, achieve and improve productivity, quality, environmental, health and safety goals; Maintain effective communication and coordination with all internal customers, plant management and associates; maintain positive employee relations, listen to issues and concerns and respond within 48 hours; Promote and practice Safety First by immediately addressing hazards, defective equipment or unsafe conditions within the department; Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example; Follow the principles of the Magna Employees Charter Support new program Launches; Provide motivation and results orientated environment Conduct performance evaluations of production staff as specified by company goals Report on status of departmental projects as required; Ensure all employee documentation is maintained Interface and collaborate with all other departments to produce best quality product at least possible cost; Participate in continual improvement activities; Promote and facilitate the open door process without reprisal, effective communication and fair treatment Adhere to customer requirements, business operating system and company policies; Develop production lines for automotive metal stamped components and sub assemblies; implement process improvements; develop and improve KPI’s through communication with stake holders; and, ensure launch of multiple automotive metal stamped component and sub assemblies projects; and Other tasks as assigned.
