Starting Pay: $15.70-$16.00

Position Summary
The Packer position is responsible for ensuring that all packaged products meet established quality and production standards. This role involves inspecting, weighing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cleanliness throughout the work area.
Key Responsibilities
• Read, understand, and follow product specification sheets and production schedules.
• Inspect packages for proper edible product, film, seal integrity, fill weight, labeling, and printing.
• Notify management promptly of any product or packaging deviations.
• Locate and stage film, cartons, and labels according to specifications.
• Apply appropriate labels to bags and cartons according to packaging requirements.
• Weigh products and verify packaging accuracy.
• Assemble cartons and label and/or print according to specifications.
• Seal cartons and stack on pallets according to production standards.
• Follow instructions from the machine operator and coordinate workflow as needed.
• Move finished products to designated staging or inventory areas.
• Return unused packaging materials to inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work area.
• Understand and follow all safety procedures and GMPs.
• Properly document production and quality checks as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Good knowledge of retail or food production operations preferred.
• Good reading and math comprehension skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
