Job Description

Cost Accountant - Akron, OH - JOB 25-01680

Pay Range: $38.00 - $43.00/HR Temp-to-perm

A well-established Akron, Ohio machinery manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Cost Accountant to manage, maintain, and assist with cost accounting, inventory management, work order processing, and labor rates cost estimating.

REQUIREMENTS
• High School Graduate, GED, Vocational School and/or higher-level education
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or similar degree is strongly preferred
• 5+ years' experience as a Cost Accountant for an industrial manufacturer
• Review daily work in process
• Develop estimated costs for new projects
• Investigates and analyzes all Material (PPV, Usage) and all Labor (Rate, Efficiency, Usage) variances
• Create and maintain fixed asset records
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and ERP software. Experience with MAS500 is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communications skills to effectively interact with staff, customers and others
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
• Ability to work independently and show initiative under minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
• Strong ability to adapt and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment
• Sense of urgency and ability to execute to expected results
