Youngstown Pipe & Steel, a well-established & growing metals service center based in Youngstown, OH, has a great opportunity for a Burn Table Operator at our Youngstown location. We are a supportive, team-focused organization where open communication, respect, and camaraderie are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency with Burny 10 and Burny 3 software
- Use all safety devices installed on the machine
- Set up and tear down jobs
- Safe placement and removal of small parts
- Prepare and stage material to be processed
- Preventive maintenance and maintenance of burning machine
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain an accurate list of processed items and quantities
- Communicate deviations and questionable burning machine operations to supervisor
- Quality of final product to customer specifications
Requirements:
- Operate tow motor
- Excellent mechanical and math skills
- Check product with approved measuring tools, gauges or jigs
- Lift and handle up to 70 pounds
Additional responsibilities:
- Sweep up floors and other various housekeeping duties
- Keep all tools in their proper places
- Put scrap in the proper bins
- Keep equipment clean
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
