Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Sorter to join our team in an active, fast-paced environment. This role involves sorting recyclable materials efficiently and safely, utilizing various heavy equipment and maintaining cleanliness standards. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, front loader trucks, and roll-off trucks to sort and handle recyclable materials
- Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery, ensuring safe handling and transportation
- Perform sorting of recyclable waste according to company standards and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by cleaning equipment and surrounding spaces regularly
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required for material movement and sorting processes
- Follow all safety guidelines during operation of equipment and manual handling tasks
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Prior experience with forklift, front loader truck, roll-off truck, or garbage truck preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively in a manufacturing or waste management environment
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Ability to perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe work environment
- Experience in manufacturing or recycling facilities is a plus
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and adhere to safety protocols at all times
