Description - Registered Nurse - Passport Special Needs School Program
The Passport Special Needs School Program - Chesterland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. This role supports the district’s educational mission by addressing health-related barriers to learning and promoting wellness across the school community. As an integral member of the educational team, the RN will provide direct health services, ensure compliance with local and state health regulations, and foster a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities - Registered Nurse - Passport Special Needs School Program
- Deliver health services that support student learning and well-being
- Identify and address health concerns that may impact academic performance
- Promote good health practices among students, staff, and families
- Comply with all local, state, and federal health mandates
- Provide emergency care and manage chronic health conditions as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community health providers
- Support students with disabilities, including physical assistance as needed
Qualifications - Registered Nurse - Passport Special Needs School Program
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit or School Nurse License (ODE)
- Pediatric or school health experience preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-motivated and adaptable to new responsibilities and challenges
- Able to physically assist students with special healthcare needs
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Clean criminal background check (documentation required)
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
Hours: 5 days/Week 6.5 hours/day
