Job Summary:
FieldLink is hiring a Cabling Foreman to support structured cabling infrastructure projects for a global client site in New Albany, OH. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term career potential, continued industry training, and the chance to lead critical deployment projects.
The Foreman will oversee site operations, crew productivity, and quality standards on either 1st or 2nd shift based on availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the on-site lead and report directly to the Project Manager
Coordinate daily work tasks in alignment with the project schedule
Lead multiple crews and assign tasks based on strengths and productivity
Monitor site safety conditions and enforce compliance with regulations
Attend weekly coordination meetings with the Project Manager
Track project milestones and ensure timelines are met
Oversee installation of structured cabling, racks, and infrastructure components
Ensure work meets customer QA/QC standards before final walkthrough
Maintain project documentation including material tracking, labor reports, and daily logs
Support both new builds and live production environments
Promote adherence to customer processes and site protocols
Mentor and develop Leads through training recommendations and performance feedback
Qualifications:
5+ years of structured cabling and infrastructure experience required
Experience managing mid-size to large commercial or data center projects
Proficient in reading blueprints, port maps, and technical diagrams
Knowledge of copper and fiber installation, termination, and certification
Ability to forecast labor and manage project timelines effectively
Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
Relevant certifications preferred (BICSI, FOA, CFTT, CFI, or equivalent)
Must demonstrate a commitment to jobsite safety and quality standards
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pulling cable, climbing ladders, and working on elevated surfaces
Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
Manual dexterity for operating tools and technical equipment
Must be able to clearly communicate using written and verbal methods
