JOB TITLE: Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

LOCATION: 1111 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43240.

DUTIES: Create and maintain applications for network automation, including configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools. Integrate software solutions with various network devices and systems. Work closely with Network Engineers and Product Owners to understand requirements, develop solutions and ensure seamless integration of software tools. Optimize existing code and develop new features to provide tools for engineers that improve the efficiency and reliability of network implementation and operation. Document software design, code, and usage instructions to facilitate maintenance, resiliency testing and future development. Provide ongoing support for deployed software solutions, including bug fixes, updates, and user support. Implement security best practices in software development to protect network data and infrastructure. Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed software to ensure it meets functional, security and performance requirements.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field of study plus 7 years (84 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Product Manager - Network Configuration, Technical Lead & Product Manager - Network Monitoring, Onboarding Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. This position requires six (6) years of experience with the following: Python development and writing loosely coupled, modular and readable services using best-in-class architecture patterns including microservices and service-oriented to integrate software solutions with various global network services, systems and devices using APIs and network protocols; working closely with Engineers and Product Owners to understand requirements, develop solutions and ensure seamless integration of software tools; writing API solutions including RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML for integrating software with management systems and providing Engineer CRUD capabilities to automate software systems; develop and run portable applications; designing, implementing and managing intensive database solutions for SQL and NoSQL software solutions; database schemas together with data normalization, ER diagrams and data-models; complex SQL and NoSQL queries for data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL); testing methodologies including all of the following: test-driven development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, load testing and resiliency testing; version control systems for code management and collaboration; working with network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP. This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: utilizing all of the following concepts: Decorators, Idempotent/Deterministic methods, Mutable/Immutable variables, SOLID Principle, Modules, Libraries and Iterators; working with Object oriented programming (OOP) including: Classes definition, Objects instances, Inheritance, Polymorphism and Encapsulation; designing and implementing robust, scalable and fault-tolerant distributed system; administrating Linux environments; installation, configuration and maintenance of servers; system maintenance tasks including backups, updates and patching; storage and memory management practices; working with data & logging platforms, API tracing solutions and message brokers; working with Network infrastructure including Routers, Firewalls and Load-Balancers for troubleshooting and managing network infrastructure; using Wireshark for packet and traffic analysis; identifying and troubleshooting network performance and traffic issues. This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: Orchestrate application deployment and configuration management. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: static code analysis tools to conduct comprehensive code analysis enhancing code style compliance and early identification of potential bugs; code formatter tools to ensure optimal code consistency and readability.
