From roadway and bridge design to multimodal corridors, our team combines technical expertise with a proactive approach to keep people and projects moving forward.

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join our growing team in Dayton or Cleveland Ohio. This is a full-time opportunity designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is excited to launch their engineering career in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Pay: $65,000 - $85,000/year based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

ENTRY LEVEL TRAFFIC ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Technical engineering responsibilities may include:

* Traffic impact studies
* Traffic operations analyses
* Safety studies
* Signal system design
* Signal timing plans
* Maintenance of traffic
* Pavement markings and signage
* Highway lighting design
* Corridor studies

* Assist in the preparation of traffic engineering designs and plans for transportation projects.
* Stay up to date on transportation engineering guidelines, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in project designs.
* Ability to work in a team setting collaboratively with group of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers.
* Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:


* Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
* Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
* Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reporting findings.
* Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
* Occasional travel may be required.
* Other duties as assigned.

ENTRY LEVEL TRAFFIC ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education:


* Required: Bachelor s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
* Preferred: EIT Certification

Qualifications:


* Required: 1-3 years experience.
* Required: Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM,

AutoCAD/MicroStation/Geopak/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.


* Required: Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and Congestion Management Guidelines.
* Preferred: Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (TransCAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD.
