Job Description
Serves as a member of the Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH ) Program Team to provide oversight of community prevention, education and training related services/programs. Operates as the main contact for Prevention and Training services provided by the Board and the Network of Care Agencies. Serves to provide operational administrative functions of the Board Office and programmatic oversight of services provided by agencies of the Board.
Duties
Prevention Program Development and Monitoring
Serves as the Board Staff Subject Matter Expert on Prevention.
Collaborates with Board Staff to Identify and Prioritize Evidenced-Based Prevention Programming for the Community (assess needs and develop plans).
Assists in development of Board Ohio Department of Behavioral Health Community Plan.
Reviews prevention application requests for funding from community agencies and makes recommendations for funding by the Board.
Monitors funded agency-based prevention programming, writes reports, and recommends needed actions to assure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Liaison with Network of Care Agencies for the purpose of developing and monitoring measurable outcomes specifically for Prevention Programs.
Provides consultation and technical assistant to Board contract agencies regarding prevention matters.
Prevention Grant Management, including HRSA/RCORP grants. Reporting on grant activities and tracking.
Community Stakeholder Engagement
Board Staff Coordinator of the Fairfield County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Board Staff Coordinator of the Opiate Task Force, now named P.A.R.T(Prevention, Advocacy, Recovery, Treatment).
Participates and helps the Clinical Care Coordinator facilitate the Community Crisis Response Team.
Takes the lead on community partnerships with the Fairfield County Health Department, the school districts in Fairfield County, and other important community collaborations.
Plans, Coordinates and Attends Assigned Community Meetings/Events (e.g., Safe Kids Coalition, Safe Communities, Building Trauma Informed Systems, Older Adult Network, Parent Cooperative, Kids and Cops Day, Drug Drop Off Events etc.).
Works closely with Public Relations Coordinator to plan and attend community events.
Community Education and Training
Collaborate with Board Clinical Care Coordinator to provide Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training to Law Enforcement.
Coordinates Training Events. Plans and facilitates training for county providers in collaboration with Program Team staff and Public Relations Coordinator.
Coordinates Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for ADAMH trainings and agencies outside of ADAMH- maintain ADAMH status as a provider of CEU’s through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board.
Compiles and monitors documentation required for CEU’s and every three years renews applications as a provider of CEU’s with the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board.
Negotiates with vendors presenting training and completes contracts related to workshops and presentations. Along with other ADAMH Staff identifies venue, sets date, arranges for food to be offered, ensures flyer is completed and advertising occurs, registration is completed on time, sign in sheets are available and utilized and that evaluations are completed, collected, and compiled.
Acquires certification and conducts Mental Health First Aid Trainings, Trauma Informed Trainings, QPR Trainings as example, with other Program staff.
Identifies, Plans or Conducts other identified needed trainings for the community in general.
Coordinates Relias web-based continuing education.
Other Administrative Duties
Completion of position-relevant Annual Board Goals and Management Goals approved by the Board.
Completion of Job Description in Accordance with Associated Performance Metrics/Measurement (attached).
Represents the Board at meetings and functions as assigned by the Executive Director (for example, Housing Coalition, Reentry Coalition, etc.)
Coordinates various projects as assigned by the Executive Director to fulfill the administrative requirements of the Board.
Research, develop, maintain up-to-date Board Prevention Coordinator relevant policies & procedures.
Participates on Board committees as assigned.
Assists in preparation of various reports and meeting minutes as assigned.
Works abnormal hours based upon service needs.
Operationalization of duties, standards of performance, and time allocation are included in the Prevention Coordinator’s Standard Operating Procedure (Desk Manual).

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Experience in prevention and training activities.
Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant Certification or ability to acquire preferred, but Ohio Certified Prevention credential of some level required.
