REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 02/01/2026-06/30/2026. Must agree to work Mon-Fri, 6 hours per day, Sat, 6 hours. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 1 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Greenhouse: Workers will perform assign duties as instructed by their supervisor, such duties will As a General laborer in and around the greenhouse there are many different tasks that are required to be performed on a routine basis. 1. Perform general maintenance on greenhouse equipment as needed in a safe and orderly fashion. Examples include but not limited to: repairs to greenhouse plastics, plumbing repairs, watering boom repairs, painting, cleaning etc. 2. Be able to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis. 3. Have an understanding of the different varieties of vegetable plants. 4. Being able to use tools in a safe manner: hand tools, wrenches, shovels, rakes, etc. 5. Have an understanding of seeding equipment with dirt filler, tray filler, Blackmore seeder, watering tunnel and germination procedures. 6. Being able to recognize insects that are common within greenhouses. 7. Being able to recognize problems with the plants in the greenhouse. Examples include; when plants need to be watered, fertilize, bacterial or fungal problems etc. 8. Pulling weeds. 9. Assist with loading and unloading trailers. The worker in order to perform this kind of work must be able to work outside for at Workers that qualify may be required to operate Agriculture Machinery or Equipment. The worker in order to perform this kind of work must be able to work outside for at least 6 hours a day in all kinds of weather and be in a possession of the requisite physical strength and endurance, working quickly and skillfully with their hands repeatedly. The employer will provide the tools necessary (if applicable) to perform the described job duties without charge to the worker. Employer may deduct the reasonable cost of damages and/or replacement of tools and/or equipment if such repair or replacement results from willful neglect or gross negligence after the damage has occurred and after gaining the employee's written authorization to make the deduction. Employees may volunteer to work additional hours when work is available, there is a possibility that available work hours will be in excess of 20% of the hours offered but they are not guaranteed, the worker is not required to work more than the stated daily hours in the contract and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays Workers should expect occasional periods of little or no work because of weather, crop or other conditions beyond the employer’s control. These periods can occur any time throughout the season. If workers request a leave of absence during the contract period, if the worker has been offered an opportunity to work, the hours will be deducted from the hours offered under the ETA-790 for the purposes of the three-quarter guarantee. A copy of the work contract or a copy of the ETA 790 in lieu of a work contract, and any modifications, will be provided to the H-2A worker no later than the time at which the worker applies for the Visa, or to a worker in corresponding employment, no later than on the day work commences. For an H-2A worker going from an H-2A employer to a subsequent H-2A employer, a copy of the contract will be provided no later than the time an offer of employment is made by the subsequent H-2A employer.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
