Job Summary/Objective:
As a Spot Welder at our company, you will play a vital role in our production process by effectively joining metal components using spot welding techniques. Operating spot-welding machinery, you will ensure the production of high-quality welded products. While prior experience is preferred, we provide training to suitable candidates. This position collaborates closely with other team members to meet production goals and uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate spot welding machinery to join metal components according to specifications.
- Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate settings and electrodes.
- Monitor the welding process to ensure proper fusion and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded parts for defects or irregularities.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize production workflow and maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 1st shift 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week. However, occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on production needs.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in spot welding or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with different welding techniques and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
Physical Demands:
The job requires standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying materials, and performing repetitive motions. Candidates must be capable of lifting to 50 pounds and working in various positions to access welding areas.
