Knox County Juvenile Probation is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly organized Juvenile Case Manager/Service Coordinator to support youth and families involved with the Court. This is a full-time, hourly position with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour.
Essential Functions
- Provide case management and risk assessment for Court-involved youth.
- Provide critical information to the Court to assist in informed decision-making.
- Assist probation officers with in-field activities such as home visits or searches with Court-involved youth.
- Develop supervision plans and safety plans based on youth and family needs.
- Complete initial assessments for referral to ongoing services.
- Administer CANS assessments for youth.
- Coordinate care and referrals to appropriate agencies and community resources.
- Assist families and youth in linking to services.
- Request MSY funding when applicable for Court-involved youth.
- Support probation officers with community team paperwork, field duties, and related tasks.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Analyses and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Collect drug screens from juvenile offenders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete all required reports.
- Communicate effectively with schools, law enforcement, behavioral health providers, and other partner agencies.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Adapt to changing priorities and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Standards
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field; or other relevant education or experience may be accepted with approval of the Judge.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive as required.
- Must pass background checks and comply with all Court and County employment requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment when working with youth and families.
